Sophia σοφία is the Greek translation of the Hebrew term Hokhmah meaning wisdom

seeking wisdom + understanding

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. Proverbs 1:7

Table is derived from the Latin tabula, meaning a surface for writing or writing tablet.

Desiring to see + do the work of god

Then Moses turned and went down the mountain with the two tablets of the Testimony in his hands. They were inscribed on both sides, front and back. The tablets were the work of God, and the writing was the writing of God, engraved on the tablets. Exodus 32:15-16

Table is also a place of community. Welcoming the weary soul to refresh itself for the day.

a sacred + ceremonial space

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Only goodness and faithful love will pursue me all my days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD as long as I live. Psalm 23:5–6

Pray. The line is open.
